This Poggenpohl kitchen is integrated around the perimeter using our patented “+Integration” system which makes the tall, white cabinetry appear as if it has been pushed back into the walls – this leaves the oversized island bench to dominate the kitchen space. The island bench boasts a huge 130mm thick, high-pressure laminate top which was lowered over the balcony by crane as it’s a single piece 4500mm long. This bench hovers over the cabinetry below via ‘x profile’ aluminium supports and is highlighted with pull-out shelves in natural elmwood.
The kitchen is zoned for refrigeration (food and wine), coffee/drinks and then the cooking and prep areas. At one end of the bench the family gathers around the cantilevered bench while the TV is wall mounted at the other. The Miele range hood automatically raises and lowers to allow viewing or extraction….
